In the last 30 days the top 100 Bitcoin addresses accumulated $11 billion more in BTC, will it continue to grow?
According to BitInfoCharts data, the top 100 Bitcoin addresses added 334,000 more BTCs to their wallets. That’s about 11 billion dollars.
In fact, they’ve accumulated 16% more Bitcoin in the last 30 days.
Despite the fall in Bitcoin’s price from $41,000 to less than $33,000, only seven addresses made a transfer out of the wallet. All this, since the historic high of January 10th.

Indeed, of the addresses that have made transactions in the last 30 days, only eight Bitcoin Bank have accumulated more than 10 transactions since 12 December.
It is worth mentioning that many of the larger addresses have not yet seen an upward trend, and eight of the top ten addresses that received their first transaction after September 2018. The newest of the top 100 is only two months old.
However, not all are individual whales. The directions include at least ten controlled by exchanges such as Huobi, Bittrex, Kraken and Binance.
The rest are believed to belong to a mix of wealthy hodlers and institutional investors.

How can I reach the top 100?
Very importantly, to reach the top 100 Bitcoin addresses, you need to have more than $336 million in Bitcoin.
Similarly, to get to the first ten addresses, you need about $2.2 billion.
Interestingly, the third richest address, with 94,506 BTCs intact, made headlines in September 2019, after Glassnode reported that 73,000 of the BTCs in the wallet had been transferred from Huobi.
According to BitInfoCharts, 64 of the top 100 have never seen a single satoshi transferred.
These addresses, which currently control more than 2.5 million BTCs worth nearly $85 billion, include 15 inactive addresses. Eleven are over nine years old.
By the way, Bitcoin’s richer addresses have always been the focus of attention for various reasons. Some researchers review the main addresses, looking for the steps of Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.
Others study data to track the manoeuvres of the whales of cryptomonies and predict market manipulation.
While 2021 looks optimistic for the crypt coin market, there is always an unexpected drop in price.
It will therefore remain important for smart investors to follow the top of Bitcoin’s main directions.
